Conservation of the Cone of Misery

Seeing Helene’s cone of uncertainty
veer away,
we prayed it to hold,
and not sway.

For our own relief,
we chose to ignore,
that someone’s loss
is our gain, and more.

In the physics behind life,
a principle holds -
The net sum of misery,
is conserved,

It never folds.
